Rope Access in London

Vertical Heights is an IRATA-certified rope access contractor working on commercial and high-rise buildings across London. We reach any elevation safely without scaffolding, cradles or cranes — so work gets done faster, with less disruption to the building below.

What this covers

Industrial rope access for buildings that are hard, slow or costly to reach

Rope access is a method of working at height using ropes, harnesses and certified anchor systems instead of scaffolding or powered access. For many London buildings it is faster to mobilise, lower-impact on tenants and well suited to facades, atriums, roofs and confined elevations.

Our technicians are certified by the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA), from Level 1 technicians for routine work to Level 3 supervisors on complex projects. Every job is planned, risk-assessed and supervised to IRATA standards.

Founded in 2016 with ten years of rope access experience, Vertical Heights now serves Greater London and the surrounding areas across a full range of external building services.

How we deliver it

A planned, documented process

STEP 01

Survey & scope

We assess the building, access points, anchor provision and the exact scope, then confirm the safest rope access plan.

STEP 02

Plan & RAMS

Every anchor, rope line and exclusion zone is planned in advance with method statements and risk assessments before anyone goes on rope.

STEP 03

Execute & report

Certified technicians carry out the work to the agreed standard, on schedule, and hand back a clear record of what was done.

Safety & access

Rope access, planned around your building

Rope access only proceeds once anchors and rigging are planned and checked. We work to IRATA international standards with trained, certified technicians and the correct PPE on every job.

Where a building has no suitable anchor provision, we can advise on and install certified anchor points and fall-arrest systems, and plan exclusion zones and pedestrian management around occupied, live sites.

FAQ

Common questions

Is rope access cheaper than scaffolding?

For many external tasks, yes — there is no scaffold to erect, hire or dismantle, teams mobilise quickly and disruption to the building and its occupants is minimal. The right method depends on the scope, which we confirm at survey.

Are your technicians certified?

Yes. All technicians are IRATA-certified, ranging from Level 1 for routine work to Level 3 supervisors for complex projects, and every job is supervised to IRATA standards.

Do you cover all of London?

We serve Greater London and the surrounding areas. Tell us the building location and we'll confirm mobilisation at survey.

Can you work on occupied buildings?

Yes. We plan exclusion zones, timing and pedestrian management so work can proceed safely around tenants, staff and the public.
